The Willows/Damariscotta Lake

Prepare for a relaxing vacation at this 2-bedroom, dog-friendly home that sleeps up to five. This idyllic camp-like setting invites hours of outdoor enjoyment while enjoying the view of the lake. A private lane is the perfect setting for younger children to ride bikes and a large 2-acre front lawn is a place that your children and four-legged friends will love. The property's waterfront provides opportunities to kayak, canoe, boat or swim at the lakeside dock (shared with one neighbor), only a five minute short walk from the house. The public beach at Damariscotta Lake State Park and Jefferson Scoops Ice Cream are five minute drive or take a trip to Damariscotta where you can find with shops, a theater, bookstores, Miles Memorial Hospital, historic sites, galleries, shopping, restaurants, local musicians, and river tours.
The property offers two bedrooms and one bathroom on the home's second level as well as an open plan kitchen and living room, and large deck overlooking a rolling meadow, two beautiful willow trees and Damariscotta Lake.  The property includes WIFI, two TVs with ROKU streaming service, one split unit providing heat and AC in the living room, three ceiling fans and baseboard heating in each bedroom.  There is an additional utilitarian bathroom (with shower, but no bathtub) in the garage area for easy access from outside, as well as a washer and dryer.  The detached, rustic bunkhouse (with electricity, but no plumbing or HVAC) provides additional space where children might play cards, try their hand at a jigsaw puzzle, or where one might find some quiet time alone.  

*Please note this is a shared dock with one neighbor. Vehicles can be used to drop off and pick up water crafts, but cannot remain at the dock. Please park at the property.  Guests are expected to follow the house rules that are posted*

*Required fees include a refundable security deposit, processing fees, cleaning fee, and a pet fee, if applicable*

Important Notes:
*The waterfront lot and dock are shared with one neighbor (they are very friendly and use it minimally). There are two kayaks at the waterfront for guests to use (paddles and life vests are in the garage). Vehicles can be used to drop off and pick up at the waterfront lot, but cannot be left at the waterfront. Please park vehicles at the house, and be considerate of the neighbors.
*Blankets and pillows are included, but sheets and towels are not. You can rent sheets and/or towels from us for a fee, or you are welcome to bring your own.
*If you are at the property on the one day/week when garbage is picked up, you will be expected to leave your bagged garbage outside the garage before 8AM that morning. When you leave at the end of your visit, you are to remove all garbage and recycling from the property (you may take it to the transfer station in Nobleboro – a 15-minute drive away).
*There is an additional $50+ tax fee for parties that wish to bring a dog. Please contact us for payment details once you have booked.
*If you book with us, you will be asked to review and sign our short-term lease/rental agreement.
*You will have to pick up your keys and welcome package at our office in Damariscotta before going to the property, and you will have to return the keys to our office upon departure. The office is about a 20-minute drive from the property.
*You will find more important information about the property and the area attractions in your welcome packet and in the booklet that is kept at the property. You are expected to follow any rules posted at the property.
