Enjoy this Maine summer cottage at the head of Long Cove on Rutherford Island in South Bristol. This property is well maintained, updated and within walking distance to the Gut and Osiers Wharf for fresh seafood! This house features a gas fireplace in the living room, electric fireplace in the master bedroom, and a separate workspace for two. Stairs to the upper level are original to this 1845 house and steep; they may not be appropriated for guests with limited mobility. Enjoy sunset views from the front windows and hop across the street to explore tidepools in Long Cove or launch our single-person kayak.

It is a short drive to Coveside Restaurant and Marina. Also there is a small stone beach at the end of the island near Christmas Cove. Right up the hill is Kneaded Provisions, a bakery and specialty food store where you can get your morning coffee, breakfast, quick snack or other items you may be in need of. Located about 15-20 minutes from the towns of Damariscotta and New Harbor with many local restaurants, nature preserves & trails, boat launches, Pemaquid Light House, Fort William Henry, Pemaquid Beach and other popular spots.
